Iran, Netherlands eye world CP football third place

TEHRAN, July 10, (MNA) -- Iran disposed of Ireland 2-1 to set up the third-place playoff against the Dutch in the world cerebral palsy (CP) disabled football tournament in the United States Monday.

Hushang Khosravani took the lead for Iran in the 16th minute and Moslem Akbari doubled the scoring 13 minutes later.

Ireland scored its consolation goal after the break.

Iran and the Netherlands fight for the third spot and Ukraine and Russia play for the title on July 11.
